    Database talk, January 18th 2007

Martin Garton's well liked database talk on January 18th 2007.
Martin introduced us to PostreSQL and some RDBMS and SQL "basics".

P.S: sorry for the poor image quality. The default quality on my camera is low and I forgot to reset it to high after removing the little battery that helps it to remember these things :/

  • 9am before the crowds descend

    NLUG InfoPoint, 04/07/2004

NLUG "InfoPoint" at The Computer Fair, Nottingham 04/07/2004

These are a few pictures taken during the 'quiet' periods. The stall was manned by Simon (fast machine with videos and games), Michael (magically self-repairing laptop), & myself (old slow backup machine running a Morphix liveCD demo). On the day, the show was competing against various other significant events (FA World Cup, Wimbledon tennis, sunny weather...) and so things were quieter than usual. Even so, we still handed out over 30 linux CDs and information sheets. The stall is part of Jono Bacon's "InfoPoint" project to promote linux and was generously offered by NCM at their Harvey Hadden Sports Centre fair, Nottingham.
